Our “Nav†brought us right to this historic property near the heart of Independence, Missouri. The Silver Heart B&B offers a blend of elegance of a bygone era with the comforts of today.

Upon the suggestion of the co-owner, Melanie, we strolled the nearby downtown square and had dinner at Cafe Verona. Â This is an Italian themed restaurant just off the square. Â Our choice of the Tuscan Pork Chop was amazing. Â Inventive, perfectly cooked and presented. Â Pricing for the quality is very reasonable.

There are four bedrooms and two baths on the second floor, which are shared by the four bedrooms. Bath robes are provided.
The elevator was not offered for luggage.
The main level and gardens are common to all guests.
Breakfast was served at 8:30 in the dining room and was delicious.  Special diets are accommodated, just notify them when booking.
Melanie is the live-in Innkeeper. Â Other inhabitants include a couple of felines and a pocket pup along with colorful yard fowl, which contribute both entertainment and eggs for breakfast.
The property is spotless and in amazing condition for such a historic property. Â Road noise may be an issue for some.
Since we fly out of MCI (Kansas City) and it is so far from home, we have stayed at many of the airport hotels. Â This was a very pleasant and relaxing change.
